America's Top National Parks
Glacier National Park in Montana is certainly off the beaten path. Sitting in the north west corner of the state the park offers some of the best views in the entire US. The Rocky Mountains cover the entire park and everywhere you go you'll see mountains the size of which you have never seen before. In the valley there are also roaring rivers and over 5,000 miles of scenic hiking. No matter what you choose to do there you will certainly be amazed.
Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming sits on 3,500 square miles of volcanically active land. This allows for large hotsprings of beautiful colors and geysers that shoot boiling hot water hundreds of feet in the air. Also at this park you will find jagged mountains and peaceful meadows filled with wildlife like you have never seen before. This combined with the stunning nature creates one of the most beautiful landscapes in the entire contry.
Yosemite is called so for the park's most famous attraction, the Yosemite Valley. The park in Central California covers 1,200 square miles of land and contains unique geology with the massive granite domes and glacial features. Along with this the park also has towering forest and quiet meadows filled with much wildlife. If you are in California it is certainly worth the drive to go see.
The Grand Canyon sitting in northern Arizonia is nothing like you have ever seen before. The canyon measures to 6,000 ft deep at some points and stretches a gigantic 18 miles. Here you can drive around the outer rim and take a different view of the canyon. But if you are more on the adventurous side you can pack up a bag and hike down the canyon to see the beautiful river and desert oasis at the bottom. Photo
Zion National Park in Utah has one of the most scenic desert landscapes in the US. The park is special for its steep red cliffs and beautiful rock formations but what really sets it apart from other desert parks is its large canyon that runs through the center of it. At the bottom of the canyon a large river runs through where there is much greenery. You may also drive the Zion Scenic drive to see all of the main attractions from the car.
