The Best GHHS School Lunches
There are about 150 students per day that get lunch from the lunch line. There is a variety of lunches served. Many people have one question though. What are the best GHHS lunches? In this article, I will be rating my top 5 school lunches.
The GHHS April School Lunch Menu for 2026.
The 5th ranked school lunch is the Pizza. The school pizza isn’t the worst pizza by any means. The problem is it’s nothing too crazy. It gets served everyday so it gets a little old. The pepperoni is better than the cheese by a lot though. I rated the school pizza a 6/10 and a fair rank at the five spot.
The 4th best school lunch is the Boneless Chicken Wings. This lunch is packed with protein. With the honey sriracha sauce, it makes the perfect sweet and sour mix. Along with the wings, there are a variety of sides. This meal is very good but not the best. I rated the Boneless Wing a 6.5/10 and a good meal at the four spot.
The 3rd ranked school lunch is the Chicken Quesadilla. The Chicken Quesadilla at Grandview Heights High School can compare to some lower end restaurants. The cheese is always nice and warm, and the chicken is fully cooked. The portion size isn’t the best due to the small tortilla and lack of protein. Overall, I rate this an 7.7/10 and a great lunch in Grandview.
Here is where the list really picks up for the top two spots. Before we get to them however, I will be listing the top 5 most eaten school lunches across the United States. No. 5 Chicken Nuggets, No. 4 Pepperoni Pizza, No, 3 Quesadilla, No. 2 Chicken Bowl, No. 1 Breakfast Corn Dog. It is good to see some of our school lunches on this list. Now, back onto the top two.
The 2nd best school lunch is the Burrito. Burritos are great because they are warm, filling, and full of flavor. Inside the tortilla there is usually rice, beans, meat, and cheese. All of those ingredients mix together to make every bite taste good. Burritos are also easy to eat because everything is wrapped together in one tortilla. You don’t need a fork or spoon most of the time, which makes them convenient during a short lunch period. Another good thing about burritos is that they keep you full for the rest of the school day. They give students energy for classes, sports, and activities after school. For these reasons, the burrito clearly deserves the number two spot on the list of school lunches and a 9.1/10 rating from me.
The 1st ranked and greatest school lunch is the Chicken and Waffle. This meal is amazing because it mixes sweet and savory flavors together. The crispy fried chicken tastes perfect with the soft and fluffy waffles. When syrup is added on top, the flavor becomes even better. The combination may sound unusual at first, but it works incredibly well. Chicken and waffles also feels like a special meal instead of an ordinary lunch. The waffle is almost like a funnel cake and the chicken is always fresh. Many students get excited when they see it on the school menu. Everytime I know Chicken and Waffles is getting served, I know I am buying. It is filling, delicious, and something most people look forward to eating. Because of its great taste and popularity, chicken and waffles easily earns the number one spot with a 10/10 rating.
In conclusion, all five of these school lunches are good in their own ways. Each one has something that students enjoy and look forward to eating. School lunches can make the middle of the day more enjoyable for students. Even though the other meals are tasty, some stand out more than others. The burrito earns second place because it is flavorful, filling, and easy to eat. However, nothing compares to the taste and excitement of chicken and waffles. The mix of crispy chicken, soft waffles, and sweet syrup makes it unforgettable. For all of these reasons, chicken and waffles is the best school lunch by far.
