For the last three years Ohio State has lost to Michigan in the big game. This year, OSU didn’t even make an appearance in the playoffs. Ryan Day and the recruiting department have been working hard on a new roster for the 2024 season.
Quinshon Judkins is a sophomore running back from Ole Miss. Last year he ran almost 1,200 yards and made 15 touchdowns. After training at Ohio State this summer, it would be reasonable to assume Judkins could run up to 1,600 yards this season. Quinshon Judkins has had an impressive first two years at Ole Miss and brings a lot of potential to Ohio State.
Will Howard is a grad student from Kansas State and he is Ohio State’s new quarterback. Last season, Howard had over 2,600 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. Howard can run too, he has 350 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. Ohio State’s offensive roster will surely help Howard get the ball into the hands of receivers.
Ohio State has also signed another QB, Air Noland. Noland will be an incoming freshman and has a 5-star QB rating. According to 247 sports Noland is one of only four 5-star QBs. This past season, Noland had 2,140 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. Noland brings a lot of young talent to Ohio State. After a year or two of training, Noland will be a great quarterback and he’ll have a great team to support him.
Jeremiah Smith is yet another recruit from the class of 2024. He’s a 5-star wide receiver that had over 1,600 yards and scored 20 touchdowns his senior season. Smith had an impressive spring training run where he showed off his skills. By the time Smith is an upperclassmen, he will be more than ready to play at The Shoe.
Ohio State now has a team ready to win next year and the future. The new offensive lineup is mostly upperclassmen with some preparing to go pro. By the time the upperclassmen leave, the younger players will be more than ready to take the reins.
