1. Cooper Flagg, PF Cooper Flagg had a rocky start to the season but has turned his game around to now have the best all around stats in his draft class. Cooper broke Lebron’s 22 year old record of most points scored in a game by a teenager scoring 49 points against his former teammate at Duke, Kon Knueppel. The Mavs lost 123-121, but that’s not to minimize Cooper's performance. In that game against the Hornets he also got 10 rebounds giving him a double-double His 49 point game also won him another record which is the most points scored in a game by a Maverick’s Rookie. The young Cooper Flagg has now passed Mark Aguirre who was the 1st pick for the Mavericks in 1981. Cooper Flagg’s hype and popularity also gives him a boost in his chances of winning the Rookie of the Year Award.

2. Kon Knueppel, SF Knueppel has a similar level of stats when compared to Cooper Flagg but with better shooting percentages approaching 50% FG, 40% 3PT and 90% FT. He will definitely be the first rookie to get to one thousand points, and he is also by far the best three point shooter in the class having over 50 more three point makes than the second best in the class Egor Dёmin. Just like Cooper Flagg his team is not performing the best, but the Hornets are on track to do better than last year's embarrassing 21-61 record. If it wasn’t for Cooper Flagg’s hype I would say Kon is for sure Rookie of the Year.

3. VJ Edgecome, SG VJ Edgecome started his season out playing the best basketball out of anyone in the rookie class. VJ became the first NBA guard to ever average 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in their first 3 games. In his first game against the Celtics he showed an incredible performance by scoring 34 points which is the most out of any 76ers rookie in his NBA debut and the 3rd most in any NBA debut. In the first quarter he scored 14 points which is a league record, this breaks Lebron's previous record of 12 points in an NBA debut. VJ has also helped his team reach the 5th seed with their 24-19 record. He leads his rookie class in steals and he is a good candidate for Rookie of the Year.

4. Derik Queen, C Although his team, The Pelicans, are the worst in the Western Conference he is putting up amazing stats .He is the only rookie in NBA history to score a 30 point triple double with 30 points 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He is 6-9 and he is averaging the most rebounds out of any rookie in his class and the second most assists. His NBA comparison is Nikola Jokic and Derik shows amazing potential. Derik Queen could be a sneaky pick for Rookie of the Year.

5. Cedric Coward, SG He averages a strong 14 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 2.9 apg and he is one of the only rookies in franchise history to score 25 points and 15 rebounds and he is the first true rookie to have (50% FG)-(40% 3PT)-(90% FT) efficiency in his first 12 games. He is a 6-6 guard with a huge 7-2 wingspan which makes him a versatile defender able at times to guard every position and has the potential to be a top prospect for Rookie of the Year.
