MLB The Show 26 was released on March 17, 2026 and it's already making an impact on baseball fans all over the world. New hitting dynamics and feilding make the game even more addicting and hard to get off of. But every year seems to have the same trend when it comes to game modes people play. And everyone always runs to the one and only mode that has, collecting and competition at the same time, Diamond Dynasty.

Diamond Dynasty is a game mode in the show where you can completely make a custom team and strive to make your dream team. This includes Custom jerseys, custom fields, and custom lineups. And the best part is that you can put your team to the test and play other real players online in the game mode. They have ranked play for people who are looking for a challenge and a real game, and they have casual mode which is made more for a laid-back fun experience where you can just enjoy playing baseball.

But there's one thing that people always go crazy for in Diamond Dynasty, and it's the cards. The really engaging thing about Diamond Dynasty is the fact that you can buy and earn different kinds of packs and cards to try and build the best team possible. This is a really enjoyable thing, especially for collectors, because it simulates real life collecting and real life chances. And trust me it's not easy to pull something really good, and that's why so many people love it. Every team, every challenge, and every pack is unique, making your collection very realistic and enjoyable, but also a grind.

And you might be thinking, oh well there's only a few dozen really good, team changing players in the league right now, and it's probably so hard to find an actual good player. Well you're right and yes they do have cards of those players in the game right now, but The Show doesn't just include currently rostered players, they also include the greats and baseball legends who have shaped the game itself, like Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds and Randy Jhonson. And they also don't forget about the MLBs future, they also have star rookies like Max Clark and Konnor Griffin.

The Show has so many cool and interactive cards and I'm here to show you some cards that have recently been added to the show and give you a detailed description on if you should invest in them and use them for your Diamond Dynasty team.

Giancarlo Stanton, 93 OVR

This particular Stanton card is a great way to boost your fielding and hitting overall on your team. According to showed.io this Giancarlo card has mid 90 ovr for contact hitting and a whopping 109 OVR for power hitting for both left and right. So no matter the pitcher this card will always find a way to hit tanks and find a gap. Even though his feilding isn't the best, it's not the worst, with 64 feilding and 71 arm strength you are not going to be gunning people down from left field with this card. But it's enough to hold a good position in the field and clutch up stressful moments. This card was added on April 17, 2026, and can be acquired from a chase 6 pack or you can purchase it in the marketplace for 85,000 stubs.

Wilson Contreras, 91 OVR

Wilson is a well known catcher in the league and he has moved around a lot. In this particular card he is in a Red Sox uniform, which is cool because they are my favorite team. Besides the fact that he catches for my favorite team this card is a must have steal for anyone trying to make sure their Diamond Dynasty teams infield is on locks. With 100 contact right and 82 contact left, And with 78 power right and 88 power left, you can guarantee that if you can get your pci to the ball then he will get around the bases. Behind the plate is even better with 85 fielding and high 80s for reaction, there won't be many passed balls or stolen bags. This card is just an overall good card, it's not crazy and hitting tanks every at bat, but it is getting you hits and ensuring you have a smooth game, especially behind the plate. You can accrue this card from an April spotlight drop 3 pack or you can purchase it from the marketplace for 13,000 stubs.

Carlos Beltran, 92 OVR

Beltran is a very good example of a legend from the MLB and also a rookie at the same time. Sometimes the show will take somebody that is already retired or a veteran player and make a card based on their breakout year or their rookie year. For Beltran this happened both in one year, Beltran was so good they made a card specifically based off of his rookie year, In which he won Rookie of The Year (1999). This card is not all about hitting as much as fielding, it has a calm 96 contact right and 85 contact left and 63 power right and 81 power left. So not the heaviest hitter in this lineup but still very capable of getting hits. For the field it's different, with 90 feilding and 84 arm strength you can feel very comfortable when any ball is hit into the gaps of the outfield. There aren't a lot of good cards fielding wise because when it comes to center fielders the show always seems to care about power and hitting other than actually making a good fielder. So this card is a must investment if you're looking to cut down on the other team's hits. You can earn this card from the Jackie Robinson Collection and it is non-sellable, which means you can only earn it from doing challenges.

Trea Turner, 92 OVR

This is another player that doesn't need much introduction, Turner is one of the best contact hitters and baserunners in the league and he will be for awhile. At shortstop you need speed and that's exactly what you get with Trea, with 99 speed and ranked 6th best of shortstops in the show, you're getting a true infield merchant. Trea’s contact doesn't shy away either with 99 OVR contact for both sides, he can smack singles all day when he's in the lineup. I would consider this the best card I've talked about so far just because of the versatility and clutch ability that is in this card. You can accrue this card from the Ranked 2 world series or you can buy him off the market for 68,992 stubs.

Babe Ruth, 92 OVR

And the final card I want to talk about is probably one of the most influential baseball players, card, and hitter. Every year The Show comes out with a Babe Ruth card and it always seems to have a spot on people's team just because of how crazy the card is in general. With 90 contact right and 95 contact left this card will no doubt find the ball. And with 90 power left and a whopping 101 power right this card is practically the best cleanup-hitter card that you can get your hands on in The Show 26. And with high 70-low 80 feilding you can also play him in the field and get good defense out of him too. You can acquire this card out of the Second Inning Boss pack or buy it off the marketplace for 101,927 stubs.

In conclusion I think that The Show 26 is one of MLB’s best games yet. The hitting is smooth and so is everything else. New Jersey physics and graphics make the game feel even more realistic and interactive. And I'm completely happy with the new cards this year. I think that there are a lot of good ones but not too many, just perfect. I hope this writing helped you get a little insight on some cards to look out for, Especially if you're looking to play The Show 26.
