Down Grandview Avenue, sits Lion Cubs Cookies, next to Stauf’s, A well known coffee place around Grandview. When you think of Grandview, you think of a family. Everyone knows everyone. You can’t go anywhere without not knowing anyone; you’ll always see someone you know. As you walk down Grandview Avenue, you’ll see tons of good restaurants. Grandview Cafe', Staffs, the new Mexican place being put in, The Avenue, and Lion Cubs Cookies. Even though a cookie place isn’t your first thought when it comes to restaurants, you’ll for sure always think of it once you have one of their cookies.
The cookie place was first put in around June 25th this year. At first, there really wasn’t much hype, as people weren’t really going out at the time thanks to covid-19. Now, whenever you walk down Grandview Avenue, you see a line out the door almost everyday. These cookies are made right there in front of you: warm and fresh. Once you get them they usually tell you to wait a second (especially if they just came out of the oven) before eating the cookie. If you're like me, I just dive right in. These cookies are amazing - they’re mouth watering. If you ever are debating whether to try it or not - try it.
The storefront is only open Thursday to Sunday from 8am - 10pm, 9pm on Sunday. The store established a new feature where you can order and then come to pick it up. Since Covid is still going on, this is very useful for people who love cookies and want to be safe. They also have tables inside and outside for those who can’t wait until they get home. On top of that, they also offer catering for events and birthdays.
Each week, they offer new flavors, which is actually a really cool idea. They keep chocolate chip and cookies n’ cream every week. This past week the other flavors they had were cinnamon pumpkin and caramel chocolate. They’ve also had frosted animal cookie, cosmo cookie (like the cosmo brownie), cereal milk, peanut butter and jelly, M & M, chocolate peanut butter, frosted cinnamon, and so many more flavors. They also have coffee (cold brew/nitro cold brew), milk, water, and tea.
Do you want to see a cookie flavor they haven’t had yet? The store offers an iPad where customers can put in some of the flavors they want to see/try. You can get up to 12 cookies. You can get 1 ($3.75), 4($14.00), 6($20.00), 12($35.00) cookies. To be honest it is a bit pricey just for some cookies - but, it’s totally worth it. They’re so good and you definitely won’t be disappointed. Like I said, if you’re contemplating trying these cookies: try them. These cookies are only made with love and deliciousness.
