Lil Tecca's Rise to Fame

Many people know of Lil Tecca, the rapper who blew up in 2019 at the age of 16. Since the release of “Ransom,” his hit single from We Love You Tecca, he has been refining his style and gaining popularity. Since the start of his career, he has released five albums and four EPs, which is pretty good considering this has all been since August of 2019. His most recent album, PLAN A, has achieved platinum status. Aside from this, Lil Tecca is the biggest multi platinum artist ages 21 and under. Most recently, Lil Tecca dropped a single for his new album titled Dopamine. The single is titled “Dark Thoughts” and people all over the internet have been going crazy about it. A lot of people are highly anticipating his next album to be released during this summer based off of his usual releases.
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, or Lil Tecca, was born on August 26th of 2002 in Queens, New York. The name Lil Tecca came from a girl at school that also went by the name Tecca, so she called him Lil Tecca since they both went by the same name. When he started rapping, he just decided to use the name Lil Tecca and it stuck. Some of his biggest inspirations in music are Speaker Knockerz and Chief Keef. His first album, We Love You Tecca, released on August 30th of 2019, just a few days after he turned 17. The album went platinum and since then, he has been releasing album after album. His next album to come would be called Virgo World. It was released on September 18th, 2020. The album is made up of 19 songs and lasts 45 minutes. It came with appearances from Polo G, Lil Durk, and Lil Uzi Vert.

After the release of his first two albums, he dropped We Love You Tecca 2 just one day after his 19th birthday. The album is built of 20 songs and contributions from Gunna, Lil Yachty, and Chief Keef. This was a big step for him as an artist, collaborating with one of his influences growing up, Chief Keef. When we fast forward to 2023, we see another album from him titled TEC. The album cover for this project is Lil Tecca standing in a room and the walls are lined with his achievements from his career up to that point. His most recent album, PLAN A, released in September of 2024. As he has released albums over the years, he has created his own style that many fans know and love today.
To sum it all up, Lil Tecca has had a very successful career up to this point. If he keeps growing at his current rate, he can only go up from where he is now. From being a 16 year old releasing a soon to be hit, to a multi platinum artist, Lil Tecca has certainly had an incredibly successful career.
