GHHS Robotics Team

This is the robot that the Botcats have been working on for the past few months.

The GHHS Robotics team is a club that meets every single day from early January through early March. They design a robot to compete through various challenges and the challenge changes each year. This year, the goal is to pick up inflatable cubes and traffic cones and put them on a pedestal to score points for their team. They also have to park their robot on a balance board when time almost runs out. Each team of robots consists of 3 robots and they compete against another team of robots. The GHHS robotics team has unofficially named their robot “Tully.”

This is the space that the Botcats work in daily to create their robot.

To create and code the robot, there are different roles you can choose from to help. There is drive team which is the team that drives the robot, build team which builds the robot, programming which programs the robot, and CAD team which 3D prints a bunch of parts. It takes about a month of planning to design the robot and a month to put the robot together. Anyone can join the First Robotics team with no prior tech experience, they are losing a bunch of seniors after this year so they need more people to join the team. The GHHS Robotics team name is the Botcats.
