Tyleik Williams is a DT, and while his junior season numbers don't jump out, he was one of the best players on the Ohio State defense. Tyleik recorded 3 sacks, but his biggest impact was that he would knock down many passes before they could even cross the line of scrimmage. Ohio State doesn't currently have a replacement for his size as he will most likely enter the NFL draft (Photo: The Ohio State University).
Chip Trayanum is an ex-linebacker, but now a running back. He always started behind a healthy Treyveon Henderson, but he was the go-to power running back and scored some touchdowns, with a huge game winning, walk-off touchdown at Notre Dame. He entered the transfer portal after the season on December 6th, 2023 (Photo: The Ohio State University).
Denzel Burke was one of the best cornerbacks in the country this past season. In some games, quarterbacks would only try to throw to his side 2-3 times a game. He greatly recovered from his slump in his sophmore season. He will most likely enter the NFL draft (Photo: The Ohio State University).
Carnell Tate came into his freshman season as a former 5 star recruit. He was always behind Marvin Harrison Jr, Emeka Egbuka, and Julian Fleming in the starting battle, but stepped up in one of the biggest games of the season against Penn State when Emeka Egbuka got hurt. He will definitely have a bigger role next year and this year in the Cotton Bowl (Photo: The Ohio State University).
Jack Sawyer started the season slow, but the defensive end showed his greatness in the second half of the season. He recorded Ohio State's only sack of the game against Michigan, and forced a fumble a week before against Minnesota. He is eligible for the NFL draft, but may come back one more year in college (Photo: The Ohio State University).
Jordan Hancock was one of the most important players in Ohio State's new and improved defense. He recorded two interceptions, with one of those being a 94 yard pick 6 against Rutgers. He is also eligible for the draft, but is still undecided (Photo: The Ohio State University).
Cade Stover has played both tight end and linebacker at Ohio State, but has really found his footing at tight end. He finished the season with 5 touchdowns on 41 receptions, and averaging 14 yards per reception. He most likely will delcare for the 2024 NFL draft (Photo: The Ohio State University).
